Want the perfect workout program?
Take QuizThe 2022 IFBB Boston Pro wrapped up on March 12th, just one week after the 2022 Arnold Sports Festival. Some familiar faces took to the stage across the bodybuilding divisions. Having back-to-back bodybuilding competitions doesn’t always bode well for everyone.
However, this didn’t seem to stop William Bonac from taking first place in the coveted Men’s Open division. After Brandon Curry edged out Bonac for the title at the 2022 Arnold Classic, it was good to see him secure this victory. Let’s look at the results and recap the 2022 IFBB Boston Pro.
The second big bodybuilding competition of the year came just a mere week after the Arnold Classic, so everyone was curious to see how the athletes would perform as some of them competed last week.
Below you’ll find the results of each division, including the Men’s Open, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, Bikini, Figure, Fitness, and Wellness at the 2022 Boston Pro.
William Bonac managed to pull off the win against a stacked division that could’ve gone either way. Many, including Bonac, thought he should’ve won the 2022 Arnold Classic, so this was sweet redemption. Both Rodriguez and Kuclo were looking fantastic as well, and Samson has proven to be a formidable opponent, and we think he will continue to give people a run for their money in coming contests.
Urs got the big win in this division after coming up a little short last week at the Arnold, where he took third. He was looking absolutely peeled, and this win should give him more confidence as the year progresses.
Erin Banks runs away with another win after taking first last week at the AC. Diogo had a solid performance and moved up one place from where he finished last week.
Maureen Blanquisco secured the title this week and improved slightly from last week’s finish, where she placed second.
The winners in this division all placed in the top 6 from the AC. Montez stole the show here with her chiseled physique.
Missy Truscott showed out at this contest after a surprising finish last week at the AC, where she took second. Baker and Vahn both appeared to have kept the same momentum they had from the AC.
This division was sort of surprising, with Yarishna Ayala taking first beating out Angela Borges. Just one week ago, Borges had placed second, whereas Ayala took fifth. Ayala really dialed it in for this show.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Two great bodybuilding shows back to back; this is an excellent start to 2022 for many of the athletes. The winners of the 2022 Boston Pro will now have a chance to compete at the Olympia. In addition, those who placed second through fifth will walk with points that help them qualify for the Olympia. The next big IFBB Pro contest is scheduled to take place in Brazil on April 22-24 for the 2022 Arnold Classic Brazil.
Stay tuned for the next shows!
