The full lineup isn’t set in stone, but it will feature 30 athletes competing in 5 heats of 6 athletes. Beginning in 1977, WSM is a much-anticipated competition where the most prominent and strongest athletes compete through various strongman events for a chance to be crowned World’s Strongest Man.
This year is the second of a three-year contract with the Sacramento Sports Commission. We can’t wait to see it all go down with the action coming in just over four months.
In the graphic novel style video released on WSM Instagram, we get to see 5 of the athletes scheduled to compete. We see Martins Licis, the 2019 WSM winner, and Tom Stoltman, the winner of the 2021 WSM title. We also see brief clips of Maxime Boudreault, the winner of the 2021 Magnus ver Magnusson Strongman Classic, and Evan Singleton, the 2021 Arnold Strongman Classic UK winner.
