We're here to cover Alexis Jones' amazing meet so let's get into the recap below.
Jones managed to drive her third squat attempt up with the help of her determination. She wore a lifting belt, knee sleeves, and wrist wraps. She didn’t have much trouble getting the load up as she pressed right passed mid-point.
When Jones got onto the bench to take on the bench press, she looked ready to go. Using a wide grip and some wrist wraps, Jones was able to lower the weight to her chest, pause briefly then push up to lock it out as she set a new American record.
With the deadlift, once again, Jones smashed it, going 3 for 3 while setting a new Junior and Collegiate record with just over 540lb! Jones wore a lifting belt and used a mixed grip to pull the bar from the floor; she had a brief pause at the top just before locking out the lift. She looked absolutely pumped after the white light flashed, signaling a successful lift.
