The winner of the 2022 Força Bruta is Canadian strongman JF Caron! The first international heavyweight strongman competition of 2022, Força Bruta, just wrapped up on February 13th, 2022, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Four strongmen from different countries competed across a series of three events.
WHAT IS THE Força Bruta?
The Força Bruta strongman event began in 2013. It is one of the smaller contests in strongman regarding the number of events and athletes that compete. However, some of the most notable strongmen in history have competed in it.
Brain Shaw won the competition in 2013, 2015, 2016. Other notable athletes that have battled it out down in Brazil include Mark Felix, Mateusz Kieliszkowski, 2018 WSM Hafthor Björnsson, and 4-time WSM Žydrūnas Savickas. The past two competitions saw strongman Mikhail Shivlyakov stand atop the podium.
2022 Força Bruta Results
The single-day strongman event consisted of 4 giants that battled it out in three events. The three events were:
- Deadlifts for reps: Lifting weight of various people with a time limit of 90 seconds
- Keg Toss: Weights ranging from 18-26 kgs (39.6-57.2lbs) over a 5 meter (~15 feet) bar
- Truck Pull: 8,000kg (17,637lb) truck pull for 15 meters (~45 feet)

At the end of this month, 2022 Britain's Strongest Man kicks off on February 26th, where some of the baddest in the game will compete. Then just some days later, the 2022 Arnold Strongman Classic will take place on March 4-5th, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio.
