Take Quiz15-year-old Morgan Nicholls hits 3 reps at 525lbs (238kg) deadlift. Yesterday, Nicholls posted a short video clip on his Instagram, where he bangs out 3 reps of his max deadlift of 525lbs. Watch the phenom in action below!
The now 15-year-old from Missouri, Morgan "Mayhem" Nicholls, is a genuine specimen, a genetic freak. Nicholls got his unrivaled genes from his father Chad Nicholls and mother, Kim Chizevsky-Nicholls.
Morgan plays football and baseball and participates in track & field, but absolutely excels in powerlifting, where he's put up some numbers that will make you do a double-take.
Chad Nicholls, Morgan's father, is one of the best and most respected coaches and nutritionists in bodybuilding. He's trained the likes of current Mr. Olympia winner Mamdouh Elssbiay AKA "Big Ramy," the legendary Ronnie Coleman, and the late Dallas McCarver.
His mother, Kim Chizevsky-Nicholls is a legend in her own right; she is a 4-time Ms. Olympia from 1996-1999 and is part of the IFBB Hall of Fame.
At 12 years old, Morgan Nicholls shocked the world when Ronnie Coleman praised him for lifting tremendous weights, such as his 405lb squat. Since then, Morgan Nicholls has continued his unprecedented rise in putting up some almost unbelievable numbers.
At age 13, Morgan was benching 335 lbs and deadlifting 445 lbs. At the 198 pounds (90kg) class in the 13-15 age group, Nicholls has posted the 5th highest total ever, and he's the only 13-year-old in the top 15. Last year at age 14, he was already benching over 400lbs!
Morgan Nicholls hasn't stopped training or increasing his lifts with his unofficial lifts now sitting at gym PR's squat 500lbs, bench 415lbs, deadlift 525 lbs.
Although we don't know Morgan Nicholls' official weight, if he's still around 198lbs (90kgs), his lifts would blow the current records out of the water.
Morgan posted the video above on his Instagram where he's completing the lift using wrist straps and a belt. You can see him absolutely crush the first 2 reps, then the last rep gives him a little trouble, but he still locks it out, resulting in a nose bleed from all the pressure. At 525lbs for 3 clean reps, we can't wait to see what the future has in store for this legend in the making.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Some people might think these lifts are impossible at such a young age and weight. However, the facts that Nicholls regularly posts his lifts on Instagram plus his lineage, and his official lifts, then we can surmise that this kid is truly something special. If you're looking for fake weights, you won't find them anywhere near Nicholls. We'll be keeping an eye on this guy!
