Take QuizAfter an intense three weeks of the CrossFit Open, it has finally come to a close and all scores have been submitted to the global leaderboard. The 2022 CrossFit Open leaderboard results down below are considered unofficial and will be updated if changes need to be made. The results will be finalized by March 18, 2022. Check out the recap of the 2022 CrossFit Open!
Saxon Panchik was able to keep the family name at an elite level like his brother, Scott Panchik. Saxon was able to pull off a first-place finish in the 2022 Open with 25 points; ranking third, thirteenth, and ninth across the three Open workouts.
Matt Poulin managed a strong second-place finish, with just a three-point difference between him and Saxon. Justin Medeiros took the last spot on the podium with 31 points. We're sure Justin is eager to return to the 2022 CrossFit Games to defend his title as the Fittest Man on Earth.
On the women’s side, the top spot on the leaderboard was taken by the 2021 CrossFit Rookie of the Year Mal O’Brien. She was able to take first place with four points (lower points rank better); she won the 22.1 Open workout and placed second on the next two Open workouts.
With her pending official victory, Mal O’Brien has become the youngest CrossFit athlete to win the CrossFit Open at just 18 years old. The record was previously held by Annie Thorisdottir, who won the global competition in 2011 at the age of 21.
Tia Clair Toomey pulled off second place with seven points with two first-place finishes and a fifth-place finish. Haley Adams was the last person on the podium with 38 points at the end of the three workouts.
There are cash prizes for the top five male and female individual athletes in the Open, with first-place being awarded $15,000 USD. The CrossFit Open results are based on the athlete’s worldwide ranking.

The first place receives one point, second place earns two points then each thereafter adds one point. The lowest scores result in a higher overall rank on the leaderboard.
