March 2022 has been jam-packed with big bodybuilding shows, starting off with the Arnold Classic, then the Boston Pro last weekend. Now the IFBB Kuwait Classic Pro just wrapped up, let's have a look at the results and recap the event.
The 2022 Kuwait Classic Pro saw some of the top athletes compete on stage. However, one name stood out amongst them, Urs Kalecinski, who stole the show by winning the Classic Physique title.
The 2022 Kuwait Classic Pro consisted of three divisions; Classic Physique, Men’s 212, and Men’s Physique. The Kuwait Classic usually consists of most competitors from nearby regions, including Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Morocco, Jordan and more. There were a total of 6 IFBB Pro cards earned at the competition. With only three divisions and a limited number of athletes competing, it’s no wonder why Urs was the headliner. There maybe some changes to the final results, we will update this post if/when that happens.
The young phenom from Germany, Urs Kalecinski, AKA “The Miracle Bear,” won his second show in a row after his fantastic showing last week at the 2022 Boston Pro; he managed to ride the momentum into another win here. At only 23 years old, Kalecinski has the potential to be one of the best.
Going into the show, many thought that Mohamed was set to finish at the top, but Al Balushi edged out of the competition and won the division.
SET FOR SET sends its congratulations to all the athletes who competed and the organizers for putting on a great show! If there’s one big takeaway from this event, it’s that Urs is becoming a real threat after placing just behind Ramon Rocha Querioz and Terrence Ruffin at the 2022 Arnold Classic; he now has two titles under his belt within two weeks. We think 2022 has plenty more to offer Urs, stay tuned in!
