Calum Von Moger took to social media asking for forgiveness as he aims for forgiveness as he tries to piece his life back together. As one of Australia’s most popular bodybuilders, his entire life is public for everyone to watch as good and bad things happen. Unfortunately, Calum has been struggling lately and has been facing some recent legal troubles regarding arrests due to drug possession and an incident involving threatening someone with a machete.
Following these events, Calum has recently posted to Instagram expressing his willingness to become a better person.
Calum Von Moger’s popularity grew quickly after portraying a younger version of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the film “Bigger.” After seeing videos and pictures of Calum at his peak, you can see the resemblance between the two.
After his big break, he continued to gain popularity by starring in Generation Iron 2, a documentary-style video on Netflix depicting life as a bodybuilder.
Since then, Calum has steadily amassed fame in the bodybuilding and fitness communities with several different entertainment ventures. Calum Von Moger is a 3 time Mr. Universe winner and has a massive following on social media, with over 3 million followers on Instagram.
Calum has found himself in hot water recently with the media after allegedly slamming his vehicle into a gentleman’s car and then brandishing a machete on the individual. Then shortly after, Australian authorities arrested Calum for the possession of drugs, including methamphetamine and steroids.
Then not too long ago we saw multiple Instagram stories on Von Moger's profile where he had hit a kangaroo with his car by accident which happens frequently in Australia. However, he then proceeded to record himself and his friends bringing the animal back to their house and sawing off the head, hands, and feet.
The video clips were NSFW, to say the least, and it was strange to see the fitness celebrity posting this type of content on his channel. Needless to say, there was an outpouring of outrage after the incident which brings us to his current post below.
You can read the status of his arrests and legal troubles here.
Calum just shared an update of his ongoing situation on Instagram and appears hopeful about the future:
“Everyone has a past. We’ve all been through hard times. I admit, I messed up bad many times. But I don’t care about dwelling on negative thoughts of the Past. All I care about is that I learn from my mistakes and become a better person. I’m trying my hardest to stay strong, but I have my days too.
The Media will always focus on the negative news to get our attention and start gossip. But the positive achievements I’ve done in my life far outweigh the muck-ups I had along the way ⚖️ That I can swear on 💯
Anyway, All I can ask is for your forgiveness so I can keep moving forward on the right path again 👣”
Based on this post, Calum seems eager to learn from his mistakes and push past this rough patch in his life. Once his pending charges are resolved, hopefully, Calum can redirect his focus on his career and possibly compete at his first IFBB Pro show.
Calum still has a bright future ahead of him if he gets his act together since he was able to pull off a big win in the Classic Physique division at the NPC Mr. Universe show in 2020. The impressive first-place showing saw him earn his IFBB Pro card. It would be a shame to see a naturally gifted and talented man like Calum squander the chances to win an IFBB Pro competition.
